Uncloud
Last updated: April 2026
What we collect
When you sign up for the Uncloud waitlist, we store your email address and a short-lived confirmation token. We use your email address to send you one confirmation message and, when Uncloud launches, to let you know it is ready.
If you accept analytics tracking, we also collect anonymous usage data through Firebase Analytics — pages visited, approximate session duration, and device type. We do not collect names, precise location, or any identifier that could single you out as an individual.
Why we collect it
| Data | Legal basis | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | Legitimate interest | To notify you when Uncloud launches, as you requested |
| Analytics data | Your consent | To understand how visitors find and experience the page |
Analytics tracking starts only after you click Accept in the consent banner. If you decline, no analytics data is collected.
Where it lives
All personal data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore, in a European
Union data centre (Belgium, europe-west1 region). No
personal data leaves the EU.
Who can see it
We use two processors, both under a data processing agreement:
- Google / Firebase — hosts the database and the analytics platform
- SendGrid (Twilio) — delivers the confirmation email
No other third parties receive your data. We do not sell, share, or rent your email address.
How long we keep it
Your email address stays in our database until Uncloud launches and we have sent you the launch notification, after which we delete it. If you ask us to remove it sooner, we will — see Your rights below.
Anonymous analytics data is retained for 14 months, then deleted automatically by Firebase Analytics.
Cookies
If you accept analytics, Firebase Analytics sets first-party cookies on your browser. These cookies are used only for measuring aggregate site traffic. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are ever set. If you decline, no cookies are written.
Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of what we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Object — object to our use of legitimate interest as a legal basis
